I keep getting this song in my head because of the civilization revolution music. It has this one part that sounds like Regina Spektor. Not even one of the better-known or recent ones. A bizarre one. Did you know that the German word for a “song that gets stuck in your head” is Ohrwurm? Yeah, they made a whole word for it.

I’ve been hard at work on some new stuff for the site Pictures, videos, everything!! I’m always open to ideas, tell me what makes you horny…

How does a deaf person think, if they cannot hear the words in their head? I don’t know how I came to asking myself that, but I know that when I read and write, I hear the pronunciation of each word. It gives form to my thoughts. What form do thoughts take when they have no sound? I know many deaf people have difficulty speaking because they can’t hear their own voice to regulate the sound, nor have they heard the original words. Can you imagine a syllable if you never heard sound?

I don’t mean my posts to randomly go into “*takes a hit* Dude…………. have you ever, like, considered death? It’s blowing my mind, man…” territory, but uhhh sometimes my mind is blown.

I felt really bad today… maybe I’m still sick, maybe I’m having a girl moment, but I was not feeling very confident in class today. In fact I got off the ice about 15 minutes in because my self-esteem just plummeted and sat it out. But then some people came and told me it was going to be okay and asked if I needed knee or elbow pads No, I needed to stop being so bad! One guy suggested I go to the open session an hour later to practice while the place was less full and didn’t move so quickly.

So… I went! It was a lot better. At first I was nervous, and one of the staff guys suggested I try hockey skates. I did and they were really really really hard. I don’t know who in the world is skating with hockey skates, but they are the devil. But it helped me when I got back into the figure skates because once I saw how much harder it COULD be, suddenly skating became a lot easier Now I’m just working on control and less on balance. Man… fucking hockey skates… who the hell uses those…

NEEEEEEEEEWS! One of my friends is getting a PS3 yessssssssssssss I put some games on my wishlist because WHY NOT YAY. I added LittleBigPlanet and FFXIII, neither of which are actually out, but uhh I wishlisted the preorder??? I’ve been waiting forever for those to come out, and I’m really excited to play them

Also, because people were mentioning wigs in my cam show tonight, I added some! I also noticed that I had a cute slave princess costume added, but in medium, which would have been a catastrophe to try to wear, so I found the small instead

I’m feeling a bit better, but I was sick earlier. I woke up feeling dead tired, grouchy, and hungry. I soon got the sniffles and my stomach was queasy. I had to go out to get milk, and when I came back, I just passed out and slept. I find that it’s a lot easier to just sleep through a cold…

I went furniture shopping for most of today… no, really! Not for me, for my friend I mentioned earlier that was moving into her new place. It turns out she needs a new couch, so we hit at least 4 different furniture stores just… sitting on couchs, mostly. There was a nice formal one that we liked at the first store, but finally decided on a brown couch with reclining seats. It’s niiiiiiiiice. And apparently these places will reupholster them in whatever fabric you want. I want to learn how to reupholster stuff, it sounds like a cool way to make all your furniture match hahaha I’m imagining cheap folding chairs slathered in red fabric, if I had my way.

Today I got a ton of work done as well, so I hope you see the fruits of my labor soon

The sweetest sweetness has ARRIVED: This blog is now totally rockin’. I finally got ahold of the design editor thing so I could mess around with the design I was given. Check out the stuff I added: Linkies on the side so you can see all the hot girls I have hot footage of, and a tag cloud (that has a limit of 45 tags!!! what!!! noooo “jus keepin it real” is obviously a tag everyone needs to see). I also got rid of the categories that I’m never going to use, and added dates so I can actually see when I wrote these little blarg entries. There was also a lot of redundancy, with like five things linking back to the front page before you hit the first entry. Anyway, I guess this is all not very interesting, but it looks SWEEEEEET to me. It’s about how I want the layout to be.

I woke up today and opened up my laptop to some of the lights in the monitor not being on, so I got some black streaks at the bottom that were weird and distracting, and I search for the problem for like 10 minutes before I found that the solution was to just close and open it again. I think I might return it for a new one, anyway, I think the hardware’s up to nooooo good.

Man, I was supposed to publish this foreverrrr ago, this thing has to start like publishing my stuff regardless of whether or not I was done.
