Okay so I just listened to If You Seek Amy for the first time and I am shocked and appalled!! Not really, but I am surprised that they would try to release this as a single on the radio, like somehow no one would figure out the sheer cleverness of word play.

Natalie was freaking out because her hard drive stopped working for her… she even sent it all the way here. It’s working now and I got everything off of it for her, so she didn’t lose anything, which is good

My cough’s almost gone, mostly. I still cough a good bit a couple times a day, but nowhere near as bad as it used to be. At least I’m not coughing to the point of having to sit down.

Oh yeah!! I made chicken cordon bleu for dinner tonight. I had no idea how to “stuff” chicken going in, but I read around and it turned out to be really easy. I just cut the chicken in half to make it thinner and then rolled some cheese and ham into it. And I baked the chicken for the first time. Yes, I’ve never baked chicken before. It was actually really easy. It came out well Cooking is fun!!

Do you ever have to “break” someone into one of your interests? I was thinking about what my favorite songs are by some artists from talking about it in my cam shows. I always start by listening to some of the “easier” songs then move onto some of the odder songs. I listen to a lot of stuff that needs to be eased into, it seems Since we were talking about female singers, I was thinking that I started with Tori Amos’ first album, which is good, but I don’t really listen to it anymore. Tori Amos did a lot of experimentation and got darker and weirder, and I like those albums. But you can’t just listen to Datura without thinking “what the fuck” because it’s really a bizarre song. Maybe I just like weird songs.

I mean, everyone knows that song “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan, but it’s so played out that I’ll uncheck it in iTunes and move onto anything else. But I guess if I were to tell people to listen to Sarah McLachlan for the first time, it would be a good place to start.

There was some tv show that I was listening to, and they started playing Us by Regina Spektor. I like the song a lot, but I thought it was weird that they were playing it, because it’s not so well known. If that was my first experience of her I would think it was bizarre. Better is my favorite song by her, and a little easier to listen to, I think, if you were interested in her I’m listening to it now and feeling good It’s so uplifting.

I know you guys make fun of my music, but within the female singer genre, I hope I haven’t let anyone down

Bah… I was watching some ice skating videos and ended up getting one of the songs from them in my head. “To Love You More” by Celine Dion. I’m not a huge fan of her, but THAT SONG somehow always gets in there when I’m reminded of it. So I’ve been listening to some other music to counter it, namely a bunch of pop love songs. Now those are getting in my head… Wonderwall is still a big one… I, of course, refer to the big band/swing cover of Wonderwall

I applied for my passport! The guy there was pretty grumpy, considering he got to take a picture of a pretty girl!! My picture actually turned out pretty well That’s TWO IDs I’ve done in the past year that look really good. My ID looks sassy, and this one looks naughty. Anyway, I finally got him to smile when I asked him if I could write my check out to “The United States of America” I thought another memorable moment was when I handed him my birth certificate and he said “This isn’t a birth certificate; it’s a certificate of birth” and I just said “uhhhhhhhh” and then he said he could use it anyway? Reversing the words does not make them two different things!

So that should be coming in the mail

Oh yeah… Heroes the other night… I actually liked it. It’s no Sylinder, but I’ll take it And I liked Hiro tying people’s shoes together. Arthur kind of looked like he was jerking off at the end there. Oh, and Claire is so obnoxious “I think I’m the catalyst” I mean what kind of self-loving hey-let’s-kill-the-suspense-RIGHT-NOW crap is that? Like, make Ando the fucking catalyst. Stop making Claire important >:O
