I watched Boston Legal and Heroes and it was thrilling (not really)! Boston Legal just had a gratuitous main cast-only episode without any lawyering at all… unfortunately that means that annoying happy lawyer and Jerry, so.

Greg Beeman, director and producer of Heroes, said in his blog that he didn’t think that the eclipse gave everyone their powers and, implicitly, shouldn’t then take them away. The writers apparently disagreed with him. It’s a pretty retarded arc but I guess they really love hitting that reset button. I can only wonder if Ali Larter’s new character next season could possibly be less interesting?!?!?!

I had my last cam show before the holidays last night I’ll be back next week! I just know I’m going to be stuck in a bus station all Sunday. Like it’s gonna leave at 1 and I’m sure I won’t get back to my place before midnight

I’m going to be spending this holiday catching up on things… I like working, though… I don’t know what else I’m supposed to be doing. Watch TV?

Bah… I was watching some ice skating videos and ended up getting one of the songs from them in my head. “To Love You More” by Celine Dion. I’m not a huge fan of her, but THAT SONG somehow always gets in there when I’m reminded of it. So I’ve been listening to some other music to counter it, namely a bunch of pop love songs. Now those are getting in my head… Wonderwall is still a big one… I, of course, refer to the big band/swing cover of Wonderwall

I applied for my passport! The guy there was pretty grumpy, considering he got to take a picture of a pretty girl!! My picture actually turned out pretty well That’s TWO IDs I’ve done in the past year that look really good. My ID looks sassy, and this one looks naughty. Anyway, I finally got him to smile when I asked him if I could write my check out to “The United States of America” I thought another memorable moment was when I handed him my birth certificate and he said “This isn’t a birth certificate; it’s a certificate of birth” and I just said “uhhhhhhhh” and then he said he could use it anyway? Reversing the words does not make them two different things!

So that should be coming in the mail

Oh yeah… Heroes the other night… I actually liked it. It’s no Sylinder, but I’ll take it And I liked Hiro tying people’s shoes together. Arthur kind of looked like he was jerking off at the end there. Oh, and Claire is so obnoxious “I think I’m the catalyst” I mean what kind of self-loving hey-let’s-kill-the-suspense-RIGHT-NOW crap is that? Like, make Ando the fucking catalyst. Stop making Claire important >:O

I’m convinced this season (and last season?) of Heroes is just a convenient way of writing stories about heroes and villains fighting each other, without all those pesky character development or logical conclusions getting in the way. Hey, let’s just write every single season to be an apocalypse from the future!!! situation.

I love Sylar being wacky, don’t get me wrong. But the writers just switched Peter and Sylar’s roles for no reason other than dramatic purposes. Peter, maybe, but Sylar? Sylar is fucking evil. Sylar does not spend a day in a cell and magically come to the conclusion that he’s going to be a better person.

Another thing about Sylar: In the future, he apparently is still good and being a better-blah blah and then he paints some shit and BOOM he explodes a city. He got these powers, as it is implied, from Isaac Mendez and Ted Sprague. HERE’S THE THING, though, that the writers mentioned not even two weeks before in an interview: Sylar lost all his pre-Shanti virus powers even after he recovered, besides telekinesis and his original power, FOREVER. So how, in the future, does he use these powers? I don’t know. The writers don’t care, obviously. He just has THE HUNGER^TM and nothing else matters.

Every story involving Parkman and a turtle needs to be ascended to godhood. I’d watch a full hour of Parkman following a turtle and trying to read its mind. Thank you, turtle! At least Parkman being an idiot and just doing whatever people tell him is generally in character…

This episode of Heroes is hilaaarious. They just need to turn it into a buddy cop show and I’ll be happy And Sylar eating brains after all… that wacky Sylar! What other hijinks could they get into that end with him eating brains while going “No! I can… fight it… NOM NOM NOM”

If Mohinder turns into a fly I’m going to be so pissed. Hey guyz, let’s rip off The Fly, no one will notice we just watched it the other week for the first time! Though I would enjoy if his voiceover monologues had buzzing in the background.

The trailer for next week looks like it’s another future episode. That is so much crap. You can only do a sweet future episode once. ONCE. STOP MAKING THE SHOW ABOUT THE FUTURE APOCALYPSE. ARG.

P.S. Micah got over his mom really really quickly but you know what SO DID I. GET HER OFF THE SHOW.

Can I just express my excitement over Bruce Boxleitner, Captain Sheridan in Babylon 5, being in the new season of Heroes?? I hope his power is sending things STRAIGHT TO HELL.

Some other notes:
