I went there, finally. But I almost passed out on the elliptical!! I knew I should have eaten more. I was trying not to eat too much so my stomach wouldn’t be jiggling around getting grumpy, but then I just ended up feeling faint from not eating. It’s probably better to overeat than undereat when it comes to cardio. I at least went for half the amount of time I usually get on…
SO MANY Civ Revolution achievements, so little time. I got a whole bunch. I read online what they were. I mean, the little Xbox thingy tells you too, but then you gotta click in and out and in and out… and in… and out… and I was like “fuck no” and went online. I was skimming some of the strategies for the harder ones. I mean, some of them looked impossible, like Win the game with only one city… or Win a Domination Victory on Deity… which is capturing everyone else’s capital on the hardest difficulty. So I tried the One City one and got it pretty easily… it’s a lot easier when you play the scenario where you already have all the techs in the future. I mean, I’m sure none of you know what the hell I’m talking about
Basically I sat around for a while and played a video game about taking over the world… without actually taking over the world.
I’m a pretty good multitasker. While I do all this, of course, I do work on the computer. I was walking around listening to some depressing news about how screwed we are if the earth gets hit by a large asteroid. Apparently we’d all be gone within a day. Thanks Bill Bryson… I guess… I’m going to listen to more of this history book on my flight, which I’m excited about, if I’m not too tired… which is totally plausible
Well I tried to go to the gym, I really did. It was CLOSED. They had a sign. It even said that they will be open tomorrow, Sunday, but not on Saturday
What is up with THAT. I’m not trying to slack off here… well, I won’t even be in town for a little bit next week, but at least I’m getting out to the gym and working out when it’s open.
I thought I would miss my friend leaving town because of the gym, but since I basically walked there and back, I was able to give her some cookies for the road. I made some last night, and there was some dough left over
Oatmeal cookies!!
I have this song “Ice Cream” in my head. By Sarah McLachlan. Sometimes I feel like telling someone about this, but I fear that many people will tell me that Sarah McLachlan is terrible, or something. I think as far as female singers go, she’s the most mainstream/acceptable?? Anyway, it’s a good song.
One of my friends is visiting from out of town, so I couldn’t make it to the gym
I will go tomorrow!
What also happened is CIVILIZATION REVOLUTION. I’m going to pretend that not going to the gym is TOTALLY UNRELATED to this new video game. It’s supposed to be simpler than Civ IV, and it is, but it’s still a lot of fun. The games still take a while, and I can micromanage some things, so it’s all good. I basically try to get a bunch of defensive units and expand a little until I get riflemen and tanks and roll over everyone. There is no other strategy in my opinion. Tech towards tanks
There’s also these ancient artifacts you can go find if you get a boat early on, so it’s worth it to go take a boat out and explore. The best one is finding Atlantis, because you “get” an “explosion” of “happiness” or err wait, that’s just what I want. In the game you get a lot of bonuses. It also makes me happy. Civilization is going to eat me aliiiive
Yeah so I went to the gym and it hurts
It’s been a while, so no surprise there. I listened to a few chapters of this book called A Short History of Nearly Everything… one of these days I’m going to finish it. The chapters take like 45 minutes to finish, so 20 minutes on the elliptical doesn’t seem like it’s going to cut it. But I’m going on a flight soonish, so I take these opportunities to catch up on my “reading.” No, actually, I do have a book that I can actually read while I listen to it. I read so much faster than I listen… might as well read…
Anyway, I hope my triceps finally get into gear, and maybe get some endurance on my legs.
Don’t forget about my new cam show times! They are:
Tuesdays @ 5pm EST
Thursdays @ 8pm EST
Sundays @ 10pm EST
So basically everything’s been moved forward
Enjoy!!
I woke up today and thought “OH GOD… work.” Well, this happens every day, as I strive to provide the best work to everyone ever. This also means sometimes I work too much on a lot of things, but what else am I supposed to do, right
Well, today, I finally bit the bullet and registered myself for a little gym membership. It’s been a while, but I’ve got my gym shorts on now and I plan to go in a few hours (yeah I’m too lazy to change into the shorts so I’m just wearing them until I go). I even wrote it down on my weekly calendar to go three days a week.
Should I do yoga again? I remember that I went to two different classes: One was really mellow and had relaxing music, and the other was more active, with the teacher walking around and fixing us if we needed fixing (the poses). It wasn’t until I got into the second that I realized that I might not have been doing proper yoga with the mellow guy. I guess I don’t know what I’m looking for in a yoga class? To be able to stretch more or to relax while stretching out a bit?
I’m always forgetting to submit these because my computer frequently freezes to the point that I have to restart it. It saves the drafts, but then I’m expected to remember everything I was doing, which I often do not
Ooooops.
