I had a birthday cam show today, as tomorrow is my birthday. Are you excited?!??!! I don’t know what I want… that’s why I have a wishlist, so I can keep track of whatever whims that strike me. I like most things
As if by some huge coincidence, I keep borrowing one of my friends’ iPods, and she offered to get me one of my own for my birthday… and I turned it down, and then they had some freak accident involving a lit candle and the iPod sitting like a foot away… it’s one of those big wide ones and the candle wax busted out of the side (because it was burning ALL NIGHT, not my fault) and spilled out in a magnificent fashion, burying the iPod and its headphones. By some miracle of miracles, this thing is built so well that even with scalding hot candle wax pouring into wherever it can seep, it not only turns on but WORKS. The same for the headphones. Though both feel kind of waxy to the touch… they smell nice… and the wax sculpture looks beautiful.
I ate dinner in bed last night 
No joke, there’s a place called Bed down in South Beach for Trisha’s birthday, and it was SO GOOD. They have a weird dress code where you take off your shoes before you get in, but uhhh you have to wear sandals but not flip flops?? I was walking around in heels all night, so I wore a dress too Anyway, this place is just a bunch of beds with big pillows and these trays in the middle. We were next to a corner bed and there were these people getting all dressed up. We didn’t know what they were up to, but then they uhhh came out and did weird performance art stuff. Mostly it involved lying on the floor for the duration of a song, or turning around in circles. Hmmmmmmmm…
Anyway, the dinner was really pimp, because we got EVERYTHING off the menu. Sometimes we got two of something. It looks like their menu is designed for sharing, and there were 8 or so of us, so we got a ton of stuff. I enjoyed the stuffed rigatoni the MOST, and the stuffed mushrooms and steak were also fantastic It’s nice to just be able to pick something from everything. They also gave us a bottle of Cristal too, which everyone was excited about… I have to admit it tasted better than other wine I’ve had, but I couldn’t drink all that much of it anyway. More for Natalie, who was really excited to have it for the first time. Go Natalie!
