It’s weird but I really miss being on the ice. When I think about it, it feels really nice, like flying. Unfortunately, they’re not offering the advanced class anytime soon. I want to go for fun soon (when it’s not really really bitterly cold ALL THE TIME), but I also want to improve and try new things. I think I might actually pursue hiring my instructor for private lessons. This will be expensive
But what else is she gonna do, seriously
She told me she gets really bored when she’s not teaching people.
Ahhh I wanna leaaaaarn. I’d really like to learn to do more advanced spins, and master all the turns I couldn’t do before. There’s something about turning from forward skating to backward skating that makes me freak out and fail every single technique available to do it
This is something to be fixed.
I wanna go right now!! Too bad it’s 4 in the morning
I watched The Story of Us tonight, and it was pretty good. I liked When Harry Met Sally better, and the two are so close in some aspects that it’s hard to not compare them. I guess Rob Reiner couldn’t get enough
That Eric Clapton song in the movie is really really catchy: (I) Get Lost. I swear it was the only song in the whole movie, but I was surprised to see in the credits a soundtrack’s worth of songs!! No way
I think I’m going to listen to that song again… I swear they play it like once every 10 minutes in that movie.
I’m still coughing a bit
It peaked once a day for the past couple of days, and then I get periodic tickling in my throat that makes me cough here in there. It would be pretty sweet… if that stopped…
Oh yeah, here are those pictures I was talking about in my cam show

From the first episode of season two of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Here is an awkward silence between WESLEY CRUSHER and Jean-Luc Picard, as Picard realizes that even though Crusher’s mother is off the ship, Wesley is still here, mucking up the show. HE LOOKS THRILLED.

An actual still from “Knocked Up.” I periodically change my friends’ desktop wallpapers to this picture. It is important that everyone see this baby.
I learned today that I am most susceptible to the “rainbow effect” from older projectors. The rainbow effect is when a movie’s scrolling end credits look like they’re doused in rainbow color. Everyone thought I was CRAZY and I thought they were mass-pulling my leg when they said they couldn’t see the fucking rainbows. THE RAINBOWS ARE THERE. It was like watching a scrolling kaleidoscope. I find that I see other stuff people usually don’t see, probably because of my contacts. I think I need a new prescription, as I usually get a nice fuzzy ring around most LED lights. I think it’s the same effect you get when you look at streetlights in the rain. Except all the time.
I rewatched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I first saw it probably four years ago. I can’t remember if it was sadder this time around, but I cried a little bit at the end. I couldn’t bear to think of losing someone like that, but how would I know? If you haven’t seen it, I strongly recommend it. It makes me want to watch other movies, which I haven’t desired in a while. Some things in my life come and go. I haven’t absorbed any new music for a while, now that I think about it.
