Bugs

Ah yes… there was a centipede in my shower. I hate centipedes. They have far too many legs and they move way too quickly. They do tend to just sit there forever though, begging for you to notice them. I grabbed my old roommate’s hairspray (used for a good cause!) and sprayed it. It started running but it seemed to have trouble climbing the tub, which is probably why it was there in the first place. I thought maybe the spraying wouldn’t do enough, so I got my shaving cream and covered it. I could see it wriggling around and then it stopped. I figure the best way to kill a bug is to use the most unnatural products out there. Also to use what’s immediately around me. Good instincts? In any event, it’s now just hanging out dead in my tub, and that’s going to have to be taken care of :( Gross. Bugs are also one of my greatest fears, and I’m really sorry if anyone reading hates bugs. I know how you feel. On the bright side, one more down?

Ohhh. And I tried to give blood today. I failed. I saw the sign, saw that they needed type O blood, and headed in. I’ve never been able to give blood because of my weight (I’ve never weighed over 100 pounds in my life), but I figured I’d try in case they changed that for any reason (age?). I didn’t even sit down for a minute when someone came over and asked how much I weigh, then sent me home :( I’m a universal donor! I should be able to give blood! I could eat tons of food all day and wouldn’t gain enough weight (110 pounds??) for them. It’s like a universal kick in the shins that I’m type O and can give blood to no one.
